Apr 2015
between the bars of a cage, I slid my letters
the ones I wrote you and never really sent.

On a bright and warm day, when hell rested
the lock was picked, they slipped, grew wings.

I woke to find them dancing before an abyss
liberty claimed my rusted feet and they flew out.
