The Secret Seed by Maggie Reeves

I was here,

Under my tears,

Under my fears,

All along,

In the dark,

Under bark,

Hiding.

I found myself,

In the dirt,

In the earth,

Growing,

In secret.

I’ve grown past the grime,

And the filth,

And now I’m free.

I am free.
