I am wearing your ring
I am wearing your ring.
And that says something,
But I am not sure what.
I would like to re claim it
So I can wear it
Without thinking of you.
We attach to a small band,
Something whole
Something far greater than the hole;
Fidelity
Loyalty
Ownership.
I am wearing your ring.
(Not on 'that' finger)
It is reminding me
Of an awkward conversation:
'I don't give girls rings'
You said
As you gave me one.
So it is hot,
with lack of meaning;
A disclaimer.
Or a compliment
I am not sure.
So, I suppose
(It seems for now)
Your ring is wearing me.
