Deep into thought
About the moment

I then drift to the past
Of a life of love
Of a life of hurt

My mind then tumbles to the past
To the shame I may have caused
along with sorrow & grief

to the past
when I was a child
when life was fun
when we knew no sorrow or doubt

to the past
to my family who I did not understand
to how things have changed in society

I then catch my thoughts of the day
and now ponder on the future
