driving over
remember the time you got a phone call
about me
i was starving, cutting, dying.
you should drive over to tell me
that you love me
and that i should cut cake to fill my stomach with.
you should drive over to tell me
that once i climbed out of my black hole
i will be filled with butterflies who cause joy.
remember the time
when you called me to say
i love you but i don't have time to drive over.
you were too busy
and remember the time
when you felt guilty but you didn't know why.
you got a phone call
i left this world to find a better one.
i bet you still don't have time to drive over
but you are
you are driving over
to be at my funeral.
