In the woods where darkness lies,
Hunger waits while daylight dies.

Animals come right out to feed.
With claws of pain and eyes of greed.

Strength and might keep one step back,
Courage waits for the attack.

Mist creeps in and brings the cold.
Emotion stays within it's fold.

Blindness, numbness, dropped shoulders squared,
Vulnerable, and feelings bared.

The wolves in your heart will eat away at you until all that's left is an empty shell.
