If you went into
the forest
I would follow
you

I'd break the chain
and hop the fence
and walk not
far from you

I'd trip over rocks
be afraid of the
night
and wonder
what lingers in
the brush
the starry forest
floor

But I'd follow you
with empty hands
with open eyes
with every sense
of loving you
and then I'd follow
more.
