The Currency of Life
The Now is a penny spent for a past
Once spent, it's gone for good.
Dreams and joys and sorrow's tears,
All payments to the builder of When.
So you can spend your Now on worry
Or choose to spend your Now on joy.
However you choose to spend it,
It's building you a When.
There's no deposit, no return
There's no second chance at all
For Now buys you your memories-
The bricks that build your story.
We've only one power over the When
One power, just the Now we spend.
So live your Now, for now is when
You build what's left at your life's End.
