In the black porcelain of night
I searched the skies and its glittering voids
I implored dazzling Venus to restore our fates
I wandered in lost chasms of spinning asteroids

Cancer and its faint suns
Sang the quiet songs of sentimental longing
And I circled like a planet around the fairest of the stars
Pleading the gods to cure my heart from its thickening scars

Mercury seemed to fly on wondrous wings of blazing fire
As I explored the glorious immensity of a celestial empire
Jupiter and its bright moons hovered like diamonds in the sky
While I gazed at trails of brilliant stardust and speeding comets flashing by

And there you were
A shining deity in a shrine of gold
Playing your magic lyre and humming soft gentle odes
And I knelt before the majesty of your immeasurable might
Your mane endowed with a silver sheen
Miraculously shimmering in the black porcelain of night
