The Tides
waiting for the sun to set
and the moon to shine,
as the tides sweep in and
the flow of tides take away my mind
wash away my thoughts of dread
take me out to sea
shine the moonβs brilliant light
bathe me in honesty
the salty sent of sympathy
as the waves crash down
the drowning roar of empathy
slowly push me towards the shore
the rocks are coming nearer
I have nothing to fear
As the water becomes clearer
I see the outline of the peer
The water becomes clearer
Allowing me to see
The coral clings to my skin
As I let the tides be free
As I let the tides free me
Washed ashore
Desperate no more
The tide has washed away my mind
