How I crumble
At your cruelty
How you revel in my lament
While you ever rove about
Increasing your torment.
How I stand up
and fight each time
You never succeed at
Keeping me down
Oh how I know this
Grates your soul
Your plan to
Destroy what you can't control.
Alas you only broke your word
Not the spirit
Not the girl
The heart is here beating still
The defiance and the will.
Your cowardly slights
Your heinous intentions
Leave you with only
Unending recompense.
The pity I feel for you
Is your cross to bare
