My mind deserts my body
For an oasis it may never find.

It darts too high,
Scalds itself bone dry.
It plunges to depths unknown,
benumbed, chilled to the bone.

My mind is hells home
no matter the distance it roams.
I'm too hot and too cold.
Chaos beckons my life to fold.
