Oh, I am helpless!
Oh, how ever I try
I cannot live without you.
Oh, my soul is forever
bound to yours.
however you treat me
love me, or hate me
my heart is forever bound by threads of steel
to your beating heart.
Oh, you are a phantom
come from heaven's bright shore.
And I a poor deformed fool
unworthy to see
the light of day.
Oh, how I can never
sing a song so sweet
and with such passion
to give voice
to my love for you.
Oh, if you
were gone from me
I would die
a slow and painful death.
bleed out tears,
the very blood of my soul.
Oh, how do I
climb the mountain
of your heart's longing?
Oh, how can I hold
a mirror to my heart
and my soul
and sing a song of my heart's longing.
Oh, you are such an angel
of light and grace.
Oh, the moon was never so lovely
it is only made of clay.
Nor the stars so lovely
for they are only a harsh flame.
Oh, a living spirit burns within you
and I an scorched by the fire of your soul.
Forever bound in an eternal love
for bliss or woe.
Oh, how my heart trembles
as my soul trembles
and I am helpless, and exposed before you.
Oh, my longing is as deep and hot
as the eternal fires.
When I sleep I dream of you.
And when I wake I think of you.
And I am undone
by thoughts of me without you.
Oh, how a single word
form your lips
breaths life into my soul.
And oh, how my heart
leaps and rejoices
from your smallest care.
