I see the flames of mischief
The ones that Mean no harm
Flames that dance and flicker
Just out of reach from hand and arm

I see the flames of sadness
They burn low and dull
The don't keep me very warm
And disperse at the slightest rainfall

I see the flames of happiness
Warm cheery and red
They fill the hearth
And warm our hearts

I also see the flameΒ Β of hate
Tall and despairing
Leaping from building to building
Leaving nothing but ashes

Try as you might
Try to be like me
But the only flames you'll ever see

Are the ones that force you to flee
