Mar 2015
The moon shines
where the sun
has died
and the tide from
the tips of my toes
has come up
to my bare thighs.

In the cold,
I try to feel.
In the dark,
I try to see.
But my mind
remains as blank
as the ocean
that surrounds me.

Within each second,
I drown.
The numbness
settling in,
to escape
the storm of pain
from above.

And I die,
as the calmness
of the water
swallows me up.
