Laying here in darkness,
Arms crossed my chest,
All I ever wanted,
Is to her think I'm the best,
The jealousy had crept in,
Came from out of sight,
The rage storm had risen,
Kept me awake at night,
I always saw her smiling,
Yet never back at me,
What did he do right,
It's all a mystery,
To see him in the back ground,
Knowing he held her heart,
That's when bitterness took over,
And when I fell apart,
My hopes and dreams faded,
And They say I lost my mind,
No more smiling faces,
