when you die
do you disappear
or do you just float
without a body
without a life
just a soul
floating

or do you stay
watching
waiting
helping

if i died tomorrow
i don’t think that i would want
to stay
because i would have
to watch my family
and friends
grieve
but if i die on old age
i think i would want
to stay
just to make sure
that everything is okay
just to make sure
that those who i love
are being taken care of
just to make sure
that i am not forgotten
