The loud screams ruled the night
She closed her eyes, never felt alive
She dreamed so big, it filled her mind
Her home so tight, collapsing with every fight
She left her home, towards an open door
She then discovered a different world
Many people with different stories
Each one always in a hurry
Kids working, the hunger rising
Increased violence, the tragic writings
That little girl her eyes so big
Working for a minimum wage
Lessons learned, but never in school
Strangers teaching these social rules
Learning each day through her mistakes
Not enough time for regrets to be made
A little girl in a big world
Always lessons to be learned
