Poems
Feb 2015
as i lay
i sink into the lilac linens
pulled taught across my bed,
with an anchor fixed to my thoughts
they aimlessly plummet into melancholic depths
the lavender aroma
fluttering about my nose
contradicts the overwhelming emotions
that tug at my tears
just a single thread
is yanked from a string
that is plucked from some stitches
that pull apart my lavender scented, lilac linens
