May 2011
she's a warrior child
armed with humanity
she's holds the stone
that brings her to see
the dark water tales
come alive in waves
crashing over her light
and drowning the flame
wrapped up in loss
choked by worry
she takes another breath
into her lungs she expands
and contracts the emptiness
its gone in a familiar smile
she wears it like a present
on no particular morning
ascending from the storm
growing grin on a daughters face
her fire burns like the sun
rising with promise and grace
she's a warrior child
with a flower in her hair
she's getting to know herself
and sewing love to share.
she's a warrior child
and you are one too
were here to move time
and break all their rules
