Goodbye, my friend
Or hello, so it seems
To this unfamiliar take on you.
It's frustratingly new

To me, it seems strange but
Sometimes when I can't sleep
You pop into my head
Quickly replaced with another
But though I would like to,
I can't deny that you are there.

And weirdly, tonight
I can't see straight,
But I can see you.
And I can see that you see me, too.
Maybe we can just forget- ****
I know that's crazy
But that's what you turn me into.

It is rather unfair of you
To leave me all tangled up
Like this; a mess of what ifs
And mixed up thoughts.
But I guess you'll make
A happy little mess
Wherever you go.
(Or so I hope)

So goodbye,
Really I just wanted to say
That even if you never know,
I guess I've briefly been yours,
In a strange sort of way.
