Feb 2015
I entered the garden burdened with care;
The fragrant aroma of lilies permeated the air.
I stopped to enjoy the roses in bloom;
Sad memories of death vanished with their companion, gloom.

I continued my pleasant stroll,
Viewing sunflowers gleaming as gold.
I paused to enjoy the delicate dandelions.
Despairs diminish, new hopes appear on life's horizon.

I exited the garden feeling relieved;
Knowing that tragic times will not always be.
I rested on a nearby bench;
No longer regarding life's previous stench.
