The Knock-Out

The pain of being unrecognized, Tossed aside, the heart’s demise, Sweet memories were yesterday’s prize, Piece by piece the soul withers and dies, Tears of the forgotten flow, Rock bottom, the all time low, The mind is clouded, as muddy snow, Madness soars, black as a crow, No one hears the cries in the night, Only one may heal this desperate plight, The heart de noire steals the light, Left too weak and feeble to put up a fight, The fusion of fear and tears become clear As the frail conscious slowly disappears, Gone is what was held so dear, The heart bleeds despair, sliced and speared, Now what is to be done? Vanished is the hearts radiant sun, Happiness and sorrow battle, the clash has begun, Joy of a lost time is knocked out, sadness has won.
