I looked for you in every concivablele place.
I looked in the garden

Is he there?

I looked in the cracks in the bricks abandoned in the front lawn
When i ran out of earthly places to search i dove into my dream world, hoping to catch a glimpse of that person

Is he there?

I awoke to the sound of smashing glass.

Is he there?
Someone was dismembering the bricks,
tossing the combined shards of glass and brick into my roses,
my roses.

I looked  up and saw the sun laughing.

He was never coming back.
