Apr 2011
my veins constricted holding to any warmth left.
so i lowered my eyelids and held my breath.
i felt the stars twinkle as they landed on my skin,
angles sent kisses, of the water on the wind.
dewdrops. from eras long laid to rest
broken romances, betrayal and death.
a symphony of tragedies mingled in the breeze,
faint quarrels forgotten in clouded memories.
there started a trickle upon a wet cheek.
a thousand times over the feelings did leak.
a twist in my stomach, a gasp then a sigh
**why **** with the truth, if you can live on a lie.
