breathing spells
I chased only
the brother
I’d dreamed
of beating.
I told my sister
she didn’t have
a tail. told mother
it’s not suicide
unless you ask
to be born. I had a hand
for the year
father
went quiet
a hand
for the year
father
went quiet
for good. had dolls
over which
dying
out of character
held sway.
