Torment

Tonight I can’t sleep Mind’s a mile a minute The darkness is suffocating me My bed’s a mess Of broken dreams thoughts promises A thickening void fills my ears And I am tormented By the never fading memory of you Thoughts images sounds emotions Flood my senses I am no longer alone Yet still in torment My body screams stop My heart my brain my soul They scream go Love torments me Yelling not true, Not true Yet I fail to understand You smile at me I am paralyzed In your gaze Fear terror fills My mouth my brain my being And you are gone
