Butterflies

Shapes and sounds flew by my eyes

like butterflies

when i gazed at my rug.

i felt like a bug

who's only solace was being under the wing

of some crazy man, who decided to bring me along for the ride.

it made me want to hide.

A soft shiver went up my spine

when I woke up with the feeling that time

had no meaning anymore.

I could feel it on the shore

when I saw you dance

with a little sideways glance.

it was then that I'd first felt it.

with a look at you my mind had melted.
