My throat tightens
I look down almost as if in the staring contest with the floor
Not knowing what to say nor do
My skin tingles
My eyes water
I feel small pulsing I can almost hear
I try to name it
But I just can't
Finally I've got it I know what the noises
It's my heart beating deep inside my body
As deep as you can go
The beating is like the second hand on a clock
The beatings slows as I start to relax
My skin stops tingling,
As I wipe away a tear my eyes rise
Breaking away from a small speck on the floor
My throat loosens
"I agree" I say
As I plant a smile on my face
And slowly watch it grow
