I'd like to spend an afternoon inside your head
If that's not too much to ask
You see, I'm just curious

How do you see me?

When I look at myself,
reflected backwards in a mirror,
all I see are flaws

My hair is unruly.
Curly and tangled.
It takes hours to do it the way you like

My skin is home to
bumps and scratches.
It's cracked and dry and pale

My teeth are crooked
My eyes are dull
My body is nothing special

So this, my love, is why I ask
to look through your eyes just once
and see myself as Beautiful
