I awake to the groggy hangover of sanity | Nausher

I awake to the groggy hangover of sanity

symmetry of line

infidelity of motion

on other continents

under darker skies

we might have been lovers of the light

here we are acquaintances

groping for the end of a line

in a confusion of options

I sit in half shadows

menu in hand

alternatives swimming dimming

saturated by choice

hunger unfulfilled

appetite satiated. Nausher
