Dec 2014
heard the rain one day
hypnotic on the glass

its melancholy song
and shining in the grass

so many drops that fall
like many drops are shed

water music plays
encore for the dead

leaves whisper tears
a raven in the oak

here to take me home
travel wind and smoke

i heard the rain again
saw my home at last

i slid softly down the leaf
into the shining grass
