The Pearl
Poems
Dec 2014
The Moon It Glows
The pearl that dangles from your white neck
It glows in the midnight light
Throw a stone and watch the litmus flow
Moving out across the bay
The stars above tell an old tale
And your eyes they mirror
Days gone by
When Paris was far away
Still we lie
On that sandy sky
Numb to the cold
Warmed by misty breaths
The train it whistles by
And the bay it shines all the while
But your eyes they tell another tale
Of when the moon
Did not glow so bright
"If I showed you my dark side
Would you still lie with me
Tonight?"
