I've seen you once before,
And instantly I wanted more,
You didn't know my name,
I spilled my drink on you,
You laughed it off and then I knew,
My life was about to change,
I walked you home that night,
It was cold,
And you held me tight,
How could I go away,
We talked everyday since then,
In the morning and evening,
I always knew you'd stay,
You whispered, I do,
I held back the tears,
Said, I do too,
And now you have my name.
I can't offer anything else but free words of wisdom,
So try this on for size,
If you want to do it, do it, don't hesitate for a moment,
Or there's something that you will realize,
If you pass on a chance, that be may be your last,
Even though it might not look that way then,
If you say, I wish I could, and you could, but you don't,
It's not the start you're at but the end,
So when you look back on life be sure to listen,
For that one long hopeless sigh,
If you hear it you'll know you were afraid to fail,
Because triumph begins with a try.
A peaceful soul in agony,
Suppressed memories reappear,
Courage is shown so no one knows,
That perseverance stems from sheer fear,
A warrior's mentality conquers all,
Vengeance is a relentless friend,
Inner peace versus outer rage,
A dual that lasts till the bitter end.
I see you when the sun surrenders to sleep,
And the stars open their eyes like a newborn child,
Beauty pure as the crystal sea that caresses the pebbled shore,
If ever a look could steal a heart, you are my thief,
Just like hands of a clock turning to meet, we are one,
Soft as a lullaby delivered by angels,
Your crimson love pours over me.
One time,
Was all I had,
I knew it,
But, blew it,
She was clueless,
I froze,
And she left,
Forever,
Unaffected,
By what I failed to say,
That day,
Which was,
I love you.
As I close my eyes the sandman appears,
He whispers your name into my ear,
From that moment on I have you again,
With each new beginning having no end,
I pray that night will not give into day,
For that's when the sandman will be on his way,
I spend the rest of my time waiting to see,
What image of you he will bring back to me.
