A Thought
Paulina Reynoso Apr 2014
I think you heard me today.
Through the glimpses of almost recognizable sounds of carefree mouths.
Through the lacking rhythm of raindrops that tap loud against the skin of your shoulders.
Or maybe just in her voice.
Though I’m not sure you have ears.
I think you heard me today.

I think you saw me today.
Through a heavy cloud of fragile sun flowers that tipped over almost too easily.
Through the falling of stars that burnt out too fast for you to catch your step to.
Or maybe just in the look in her eyes.
Though I’m not sure you have eyes.
I think you saw me today.

I think you felt me today.
When the leaves began to fall and stopped to kiss the silhouette of your hands.
When the cool of the wind decided to pause, and you saw the heat in your breath create a warm image.
Or maybe just being in her arms.
I’m not sure if you can feel .
But I think you felt me today.

I think you tasted me today.
When the mist of the waterfall fell accidentally on your tongue.
When the sweat from your head, rested on your lips,
and the saltiness reminded you of tears.
Or maybe just when her chlorine skin tasted a little bit bitter.
I’m not sure if you have a sense of taste,
but, I think you tasted me today.

I think you forgot me today.
Maybe in your adolescence.
Maybe in the places you felt were the best hiding spots.
Or maybe just in her presence.
Though I thought you had an unforgettable mind.
I think you forgot me today.

Conversation
Paulina Reynoso Apr 2014
If the sun and the moon could speak to one another
They would talk of how gently sand resides under moving water
They would speak of love inside endless souls
They would talk of history and art
And the spaces between air and trees
And maybe they will talk about you and me

Where does it go?
Paulina Reynoso Jun 2021
Where does it go?

Through the ***** skies
And dry soil
I’ve stayed your girl
Through the in betweens and screaming things
I’ve dusted past corner things

Where does it go
Who are you when I’m spirit
My boy in control
The vessel stranger bends timid
You’re potent
I’ve grown by your hand
Your fingertips
I live for this

Your pulse on my lips
My tongue traces the shadows of your chest
You’re mine
A message in my life
A famous scribble I’ve engraved in me

stay with me
Let’s live this love forever
Let me sculpt you in all your different forms
Keep me craving your thoughts
Lose me in your boxed arms
I’ll kiss your corners
I’ll stay your girl

Where does it go
Stuck to the words that we spoke
An energy With no control
I won’t let it go
But I wonder where it goes
