The woods are cold and desolate
The sun is dimly lit
The shadows move fast
Nothing bright will last
old gnarled trees stand tall
at the roots lay an old little doll
her old brown hair tied in knots
her cloth skin slowly rots
an old man walks around
his gray eyes facing the ground
he steps on crushed leaves
For the lost souls he grieves
The woods here are dying
the birds are no longer flying
all has fallen to the floor
what once moved doesn't move anymore

A bag full of winds
Nothing ends or begins
I chose a direction
There is no correction
I just wander
Thoughts i ponder
I bathe myself in smells
I experience personal hells
I hear a child's cry
I see a woman die
I don’t know what i know
My wind does not blow
My bag deflates
I consider my fates
I realize all is fair in love and war
and its shaken me to the core
Love and war are in all things
With all the troubles they bring
I get back on my feet
I refuse to admit defeat
The sun still shines
On our impressionable minds

The poem stretches down the page
Stained with tears and flowing with rage
Written with a trembling hand
Its disconnected and hard to understand
It jumps from here to there
It is everywhere
Its all in the poets head
it sleeps with you in bed
it follows with its jumbled lines
You read what is seemingly defines
But your eyes rearrange the words
They appear like soft little birds
You read what you want to read
afraid where to where it might lead

Warm echoes of silence
Cold faded memories of violence
They all flood my head
Fear and doubt keep them fed
Dark whispers in my ear
i wish to be with out fear
To be free
To just be me
Free of all this weight
All of it cleared off my plate
So i can be free as a bird
Not to care about a word

Your eyes strain to see
A warm gun pointed at me
Darkness chokes the scene
You wonder what it all means
You see something in his eyes
A dark sea of lies
He seems so desperate so scared
A wild dog with his teeth bared
Money is hard to find
It alters your state of mind
He says he wants your purse
He spits out a curse
The words fall ******* the ground
Then there isn't a sound
You hesitate your eyes glued to the gun
It glimmer as bright as the sun
you toss the purse towards him
He shoves me towards you, it looked grim
He ran away into the night
That was quite the fright

We constantly drive
Not wanting to arrive
No destination No end
Just want to see whats around the bend
If we never stop then we never part
We never have to bandage a bleeding heart
Time stuffed with things to do
All because i love you
Its just one endless day
No one but ourselves to obey
Its the open road
We have our own code
We both kinda smell
But hey what the hell
Its all just pure luck
As if we give a ****

Cradle my my bleeding heart
As everyone laughs and falls apart
We used to breathe but we don't anymore
We smile and nod as the ceiling becomes the floor
The sands of time slip through our fingers
The warm memory always lingers
Your eyes softly glow
Our conversation does flow
No one else is around
They are lost and can't be found
We ***** a perpetual journey into our soul
We were halves that are now whole
