who, who
Nova Rose Jun 2015
heavy hearts,
empty eyes,
soulless smiles.

who have we become?

too soon
Nova Rose Jun 2015
did we spin too fast?
move too quickly?
i guess
we danced off the edge
and broke ourselves.

didn't we, love?

embodiment of a galaxy
Nova Rose Jun 2015
the moons of jupiter
orbited the black holes of your eyes.

they gleamed behind closed doors
and billowing curtains.

your hands,
marked with intricate curls
of age old stardust,
would clench
and make the comets soar.

a smile,
born of a glittering skies
and the blazing sun,
left me blinded
and all i could see
is your infinite shadow.

fragments
Nova Rose Jun 2015
fragments of time
can impale our minds
that can later on
inflict the skin of our hearts.

cheesy
Nova Rose Jun 2015
the moon looks like cheese.

that's what you always said
and i never understood.

we always stood under it.

i must be the moon.

that's what you would say
and i never understood.

but then i realized,
when you became part of the stars,
that maybe you were never the moon,
because you were more like the sun.

the brightest star in our sky.
