My Glass
Paige Louise Jul 2013
You turned the tap on
You raised the cup
The particles you’d spoken
Quickly edging up
Tantalizingly close
To the final line
A dash of love; A dash of trust
A dash of wonderous time
My glass was full up
There was no more room
It was embodied in the promises
You said would come soon
The mix of water and strength
Made time go so fast
The minerals began to settle
But you picked up my glass

And spilled it.

What we choose to see
Paige Louise Aug 2013
It’s not the mystery that kills us
Nor the quest
It’s the thoughts that run through
Others heads
The judgmental looks
The roll of the eyes
Whispered words
Disgusted sighs
Bitter souls
A ruined reflection
Our open ears
For the worlds rejection

A change in the weather
Paige Louise Aug 2013
You were my haunting
Stalking dictionary
Sticking to me
Like a bee to a flower
On a warm summers day
But the autumn came
The petals wilted
A coldness lay
So all the bees
Flew away

Art's not for the artistic
Paige Louise Jul 2013
An artist is not just someone
who can put a pen to paper
and paint an adequate picture
An artist is anyone
Someone who can
transfer thoughts and feelings
into something visual
something captivating
something so very relateable
but so very distant
you see, an artist doesn’t
build it’s picture for you

it builds a picture of them self

Let the games begin
Paige Louise Jul 2013
When your destiny is surreal
And your path has been abolished
When everything is a deep oblivion
And all hope has vanished

When you’re 10,000 meters deep
And you’ve hit the bottom
When your hearts been destroyed
And you’ve been forgotten

When all problems are a puzzle
And everything’s in a spin
Remember who you are
And let the games begin

A truth too many
Paige Louise Jul 2013
Our whole lives
emplanted
on the way we feel
eveything determined
by dreams that aren't real

Back again
Paige Louise Jul 2013
You smile; I smile
I fall for it again
As your kind words
Run through my head
You smile; I smile
As I lean on your chest
Your soft skin
My only rest
You smile; I smile
As we laugh like the past
A joy I haven’t felt
Since we’ve been apart
You smile; I frown
As I finally knew
For you once did leave
Now I will too
