Unnamed 1

you’re sitting by the window

sunlight tracing all your lines

i watch you draw in shadows

wishing i could draw your mind

you talk about your weekend

i pretend I don’t stare

but god, the way you tuck your hair back

feels painfully unfair

because you a quiet type of pretty

like a thought i shouldn’t say

and im a mess with all these feelings

trying not to give myself away

maybe you won’t notice

how your name sits on my tongue

but i would let you ruin me slowly

if it meant you were the one
