Who Am I If Not The Body?

Without awareness my heart still beats. My body does not need me to function. The way my lungs settle air, my blood still follows the same paths. My skin falls off and grows again. Who am I without the body? I am a large quarter piece of flesh held together by bone and tissue. Yet I hold a consciousness so vast, a beautiful recognition of my own perception, and still I cannot see myself unless reflected by something outside of me. Would you dare combine our familiarities? Could you leave behind your surface-level identity and explore what a single person can bring out of you?
