3 a.m. secrets

by two-parts-of-a-broken-heart

I think I'm going to drive to the little church tonight. You know how I do that sometimes. When things get bad here, and I just need a little peace and quiet. Maybe... Maybe you can come with me sometime; when you need to get away too. We don't have to talk at all; just sit in the parking lot for a few hours. Maybe we can spend the night; that's what I'll be doing tonight. I need to get away from all the yelling, all the anger. It fills up inside of me until I explode. Would you spend the night with me? It's just a little car, but I'd let you have the back seat; give you all the best blankets. I'd wake up every hour or two to turn the heater on and keep you warm. You don't have to give me an answer now. But if you ever feel like flying away, just drive to my part of town and find me there. And come in and sleep. Sleep and dream, in that little church parking lot.
