Fight, flight, or...

I see the red heart there

and it is stagnant, but in my mind it's beating, pulsating,

blood dripping down your fingers as you try so desperately to lick them clean

but you are not fast enough.

 

I know.

You know that I know,

and we don't say a word.

 

Maybe if neither of us move

It will not see us.
