WELCOME, XLVI.

by dadaolowoeyo

It's with grave concern that I welcome you, Dearest beloved to another year, Knowing, fully, that I edge even closer, To the place where no one is ever ready to go; But hey! Here we are! And live I must, Regardless, Even, though...! It is the other side of the forties for me, Much passed the time when life begins, In fact, already six moons in, And looking o'er the horizon to the midlife; My little ones have rendered the birthday song, Alongside their mother coordinating, If for nothing, at least for them, The hustle must continue.

The second half of the forties comes with its own melodies. Happy birthday to me!
