Fallen Prince or Prince Fallen

You asked me to stand back,

watch you drown.

Next to my feet lie your jewellery and crown.

How come I am still thinking

about the watery cup of coffee

I made you years ago?

Bad tongues will say it’s out of shame,

and I will take the blame and cut them off.

We’ve been wandering this swamp for hours now,

for you to bring me to this spot.

I may or may not stay to witness your rot.
