I was violently struggling this morning Like a tree hanging on to dear life amid a storm Except I was immobile So I slept soundly, putting my thoughts aside Then afternoon came And your loving embrace came with the breeze The storm had walked away in defeat Seeing that this was no ordinary tree Because this tree It had its roots buried deep in the ground It held on tight knowing that all things may pass But not you
