Loveliness

I’m in a love story Created beneath windblown laundry Made of sheets touching skin as Lovers kiss each other Tender and soft as a butterfly Shaking its twittering wings Fingers touching as sunspots waft through Like perfumed air Lipstick pressed against cool washed skin Raindrops leaking out of love-filled eyelids Snowflakes float up from warmed souls And drift through opened mouths of anticipation Flowers fall between stars in the sky And press against pores Crawling with the senses of lust Dancing on bare feet With noses touching and Breath frozen like memories in the air The sky closes in as a ceiling would onto room As cheekbones are lifted to the ceiling-sky Color sifts past intertwined bodies Extending a sea of love forever I dare not open my eyes for fear that The love may escape
