The Little Girl In Me

All of my life, I was trying to mold myself into what I was told but the person that I should be never listened to the voice in me Giving away all of my love never holding myself above How can you give anything to you When pleasing others is all you do ? Taking a good long look at myself, I discovered I needed a little help That little girl that I had inside I let her out, she couldn't hide I'd brought her out of her dark place put a big smile on her face I let her know she's important to me Taught her to live, taught her to breathe Let her stand and walk on her own told her she is no longer alone I have found a true friend in me someone who always worthy
