Birds

The birds sat and watched As knights marched passed And they thought nothing The birds sat and watched As armies were felled And they thought nothing Today the birds watch armies But their people's go on still While ours are soon forgotten Yet, we shouldn't be that way It just pleases me to know When someday we are gone They will still onwardly go
