Summer

by kankshi-dhar

You whisper words That wash over me singing of tunes, forgotten in this day. Your fingers graze mine caressing my chafed knuckles As the ocean kisses the shore Dragging my hebetude away. Your breath blowing on my neck That scorches my skin, now murmuring of beaten tracks and going off rails somehow. Your skin embracing my crevices Like the gushing relief of Cool lemonade in heat. And as drops of water, condensed on your glass, descend to their pools Your lips brush against mine humming of our decadent solitude. A warm breeze, tangles in your hair, losing momentum as your lush green eyes find mine, I knew it would be a summer sublime
