Miracles in May

Counting days like leaves in fall, Careless giggles and laughter galore For how long? The truth is strong The lurking despair that refuses to go The summer Sun anticipates snow. Sighs umpteen and endless wait Why oh! Why? Why so late? The trouble could’ve been saved, There’s no knowing why and how these roads are paved. Things could’ve been different, much easier But where’s the fun in that- it isn’t quite clear, Miracles in May and blossoming flowers, Glimmering lights from harbours and tall towers. So much to do and yet so little done, It’ll be alright, it’s only just begun!
